Allied Leaders One of the allied leaders of WWII was Franklin Roosevelt, president of the United States. Franklin Roosevelt was the 32 president in 1933-1945 and Franklin lead through the great depression in WW2 as a president. He also said that over 13,000,000 people were unemployed in the United States and most of every bank in the U.S. were closed as well. He never wanted to get the United States involved in the war but then the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese forced Roosevelt to ask congress to declare war in japan. So after all of that happened in 1936 Franklin Roosevelt was re-elected. Charles de Gaulle was a general who led the French in the war at Germany in WW2 and he was president of France. And the prime minister is William king of Canada and he help stop the Nazi Germany. Minister Robert Menzies of Australia with Great Britain to help stop the Germany Nazi party. Michael savage was with Great Britain when the war started with the Nazi party of Germany. And the last one is Winston Churchill became prime minister and he lead victory with Great Britain. For China the general of China is Chiang Kia-sheik was the leader of the republic of China. He was a military and political leader in China. In 1918 he joined the nationalist party. He fought against warlords and expelled the communists. In 1928 he formed a new government and named himself as the head of state. Under his leadership China battled Communism and Japanese aggression. China joined the allies when they declared war in 1941. In Italy the political leader was Benito Mussolini. He fought in WWI and broke away from the Socialist Party because it supported the Allies. He helped organize the Fascist Party and eventually became the prime minister of Italy. After that he then joined Adolf Hitler to fight the Allied Powers. Mussolini was arrested by Pietro Badoglio. He did escape and hid in Switzerland where the Allied troops captured and shot him. His body was displayed to the pubic in Milan. Joseph Stalin was a dictator of the Soviet Union and he was a political leader in World War 2. As Stalin outmaneuvered his rivals of the party too, he also aligned with the United States and Britain in ww2. Churchill led Great Britain fight against Nazi Germany in World War 2. He was very talented and he gave many good and weird speeches to boost the morale during World War 2. Navajo Code Talkers The Navajo code talkers are people that recruited other members to get into the marines. And these guys want other people to join so that they would have a bigger military or army. It was pioneered by Cherokee Indians in World War 1. Then the Code Talkers led through the World War 2 so that is why they keep on recruiting other members for the marines. And this was mostly ships from the navy as well that did the Navajo code talker because they would tell where the ships were at all times. They used them because nobody would know what the language was. And the U.S soldiers mistakenly thought that they were Japanese soldiers and each one of the should have a body guard so that they would not get shot by their own men. CW Simone weil Simone Weil, the daughter of a doctor was born in Paris France in 1909. During the Second World War the Weil family left Paris and went to live in Marseilles before moving to the United States. Weil moved to London in November 1942 where he joined General D and his government in exile. She wanted to return to the front-line but because of her poor health she worked for the minister of the interior preparing for the postwar social reconstruction of France. Albert Camus Albert Camus, the son of a farm labourer was born in Mondovi Algeria on 7th November, 1913. On the outbreak of the First World War his father joined the French Army. Soon afterwards he was killed at the Marne. Camus won a scholarship to Algiers High School. A good student, he was also a talented sportsman until he developed tuberculosis in 1930. It’s a rare disease, not found in many people. Jean Moulin Jean Moulin, the son of a professor of history, was born in Belziers France on 20th June 1899. He was conscripted into the French Army in 1918 but the First World War came to an end before he had the opportunity to see action. After the war Moulin joined the civil service and rose rapidly to become the country's youngest prefect. Influenced by his friend Pierre Cot a radical pacifist, Moulin developed left-wing views. During the Spanish Civil War. combat The Combat resistance group was formed in France in November, 1941. Led by Henry Frenayit gradually became the most important resistance group in metropolitan France. Based in Lyons, the group began publishing the clandestine newspaper called the combat in December 1941. Edited by Albert Camus the circulation of the newspaper eventually reached 300,000. In May 1943 Jean Moulin persuaded Combat agreed to join forces with Front National ZH Gustav Krupp (Gustav von Bohlen) was born in The Hague on 7th August 1870. A German diplomat he married Bertha Krupp the daughter of Friedrich Alfred Krupp. He was immediately given permission by Wilhelm II to change his name to Krupp. Krupp took over the running of the company and by the outbreak of the First World War had gained the monopoly of German arms manufacture. He manufactured high angle heavy caliber howitzer called big bertha, named after his wife. The gun that was used for the shelling of the fortress of Liege in Belgium. His company also produced the Paris Canon the long barrel gun that could fire up to 120km in distance. Jutta Ruddier the daughter of an engineer was born in Berlin on 14th June 1910. While a student in Wurzburg she joined the youth wing of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP). After graduating she became an assistant psychologist at the Institute for Occupational Research in Dusseldorf Ruddier was also active in the Bund Detacher Madill (League of German Girls in the Hitler Youth). Carl Oberg was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1897. He joined the German Army and served in the First World War. After the war he joined the Freikorps and took part in the Kapp Putsch in 1920. Oberg worked for a tropical-fruit trading company before enduring a long period of unemployment. In 1930 he acquired a tobacco stand in Hamburg. Oberg joined the Nazi Party and in 1932 he went to Munich where he worked with Reinhard Heydrich. He eventually became Heydrich's right-hand man in the SD Security Service In 1938 Oberg was given command of an SS (Schutzstaffel) battalion in Mecklenburg.
