Battles/Camps
Battle of Okinawa
Allies united states and united kingdom and axis was japan it happened in April 1 to June 22 1945 took place of Japanese island of Okinawa and it is 350 miles away too and there was 100,000 Japanese casualties 100,000 united kingdom and 50,000 united states and it took 7 days of artillery fire and beach landing met no resistance and they basically let American forces walk on the beach. Another reason why they did this was troop strength they were captured very quickly and in the fight there was a lot of caves tunnels and they did this to hide away from the American forces and they flew there planes into the Americans ships and they did a good amount of damage to us and the Japanese never wanted to surrender and they never really had a fight until a long time ago. The main forces captured the air field too. Results the allied won and they had to keep fighting because the Japanese kept hiding until we found them. And it was called the final of Great Britain of ww2

Battle of Gazala
So the other battle that I chose was the battle of Gazala and this was in May 26, 1942 and it lasted till June 21, 1942 so it was just almost 1 month. The person that lead this Battle was General Sir Claude Aruchinleck and then there was a major General and that was Neil Ritchie but the total amount of people in this war is 175,000 men or woman and they had 843 tanks for the artillery. And then the other General is Ewin Rommel and he had 80,000 men and 560 tanks so he had less than Neil Ritchie. It was in North Africa and it had only 30,000 casualties and 40,000 casualties and there was over 35,000 casualties that got captured by the other members.
